About our Community, Ridge Park

Located in Los Alamos, New Mexico, Ridge Park is a vibrant and close-knit community that has provided homeownership opportunities since its establishment in 1984. Designed to offer moderately priced, affordable housing, Ridge Park was founded in response to the skyrocketing housing prices that followed the Manhattan Project, which made it increasingly difficult for many to afford a home in Los Alamos.

Our History

Los Alamos has always been a unique town, shaped by its role in scientific research and national security. After the Manhattan Project, housing demand surged, and prices climbed, leaving many workers, young professionals, and families struggling to find affordable options. In response to this growing need, Ridge Park was developed to provide a quality, affordable alternative to the rising costs of homeownership in the area.

Since its founding, Ridge Park has grown into a thriving community where homeowners take pride in their properties and shared spaces. Over the years, our Homeowners Association (HOA) has worked to maintain the integrity of the neighborhood, balancing necessary improvements with responsible financial planning.

Location & Lifestyle

Ridge Park is ideally situated in Los Alamos, a town known for its rich history, scientific innovation, and stunning natural landscapes. Our location provides residents with convenient access to LANL (Los Alamos National Laboratory), hiking trails, top-rated schools, and a variety of local shops and restaurants. Our Future

While Ridge Park was founded on affordability, we also recognize the importance of responsible financial stewardship to keep our community sustainable and well-maintained for generations to come. We are committed to ensuring that our HOA operates with transparency, fairness, and long-term financial planning, so homeowners are not burdened by unnecessary costs.

Ridge Park is more than just a neighborhood: it’s a community built on the belief that homeownership in Los Alamos should be accessible, sustainable, and managed with the best interests of homeowners in mind.
